Life-Saving Ambassador

The Canadian Academy for Prehospital and Emergency Medicine (canaPHEM), provides First Aid/CPR and Health & Safety training, equipment and supplies. We are professional, innovative and authentic – we save lives!

Duties and Responsibilities

The Life Saving Ambassador is a go-getter who wants to help save lives by promoting life-saving defibrillators and first aid courses within Durham Region to help build a safer community. If you are an individual with an entrepreneurial spirit, who is willing to learn and who has a passion for saving lives, this job is for you! In this position, you will contribute to the success of canaPHEM through ensuring client acquisition by engaging customers through your knowledge of the services provided by canaPHEM by:

  • Hitting the pavement and conducting outside sales, getting out into the community
  • Attending networking events, tradeshows and other public events, as needed
  • Reporting to the office at the beginning and end of each day with a progress report
  • Identifying leads, managing prospects, and acquiring new clients
  • Following up with clients who have received products or training with canaPHEM to ensure satisfaction
  • Developing and maintaining knowledge of services, products and pricing offered by canaPHEM
  • Answering customer inquiries
  • Completing scheduled cold call prospecting activities and in-person meetings with clients
  • Promoting saving lives and creating a safer community within the Durham Region!

  • Minimal lifting


  • Access to a vehicle and Full G Class Driver’s License is a must to be considered for this role!
  • Must be able to clear a Vulnerable Sectors check
  • Knowledge and passion for First Aid
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills used when speaking with clients, referral partners, and other co-workers
  • Excellent knowledge with Google calendars and the complete platform
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Exceptional personal character, professionalism, and work ethic
  • Dedicated, self-motivated, persistent and willing to learn

Education and Experience

  • Looking to start ASAP!
  • Experience in sales, customer service or brand ambassador
  • Demonstrated experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with constant change
